Kogi (Los Angeles)


New York Street-Food is thought of in terms of "Stands" (i.e. the Hot Dog Stand).  Los Angeles, on the other hand, has the quintessential "Taco Truck."  Kogi, pays homage to the almost exclusively Mexican Taco Trucks by serving up Korean Twists on Tacos Burritos & Quesadillas.  Scattering 4 different Trucks (Azul, Verde, Roja & Naranja) throughout L.A. and the OC, you can check out their whereabouts online, by going to their homepageor by following them on twitter.  We tracked them down on Brea & 3rd – just blocks away from the Farmer’s Market.

Black Jack Quesadilla – Caramelized Onions, Spicy Pork, Cheddar & Jack Cheese, Salsa Verde & Sesame Seeds.

Short Rib Sliders.

3 Tacos -  Spicy BBQ Chicken, Spicy Pork & Short Rib all Topped with Sesame-Chili Salsa Roja, Julienned Romaine Lettuce & Cabbage Tossed in a Korean Chili-Soy Vinaigrette, Cilantro-Scallion-Lime Relish, Crushed Sesame Seeds & Sea Salt.
