My rating is solely for their Happy Hour on Thursdays.
Happy Hour is 4 hours long; 4:00-8:00pm.
4 tapas style dishes to choose from for 4 measly dollars!
4-5 cocktails to pick from for 4 Washingtons!
The menu changes weekly so it's pointless to dissect what I ate and drank. I will, however, post pics of what I had so you have an idea of what to expect.
By the way, the menu for Checker's Downtown Happy Hour on Thursdays is posted every Wednesday here.

The day I went, the theme spirit was 42 Below Vodka. Last week, the theme spirit was Cachaca. Anyhow, for our 1st round we ordered a Honey Sour and Kiwi Caipiroska. Round 2 came in the form of a Moscow Mule and an Aqueduct Cocktail. The drinks were probably a 4.5 but considering the price... 5 stars!!
The tapas available that evening were, Roasted Fennel Soup Garnished with Charred Salmon Belly, Chives & Sea Salt, Grilled Yellowtail in a Bitter Lemon and White Bean Cassoulet, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich & a Crepe Du Maison served with Roasted La Belle Farms Foie Gras & Stuffed with a Blueberry Compote. Each dish was beyond typical happy hour fare. Needless to say, I was more than pleased with my meal. 5 stars!!
I love the concept and the price simply cannot be beat. I plan on returning at least once a month. I highly recommend it.
