Red Car Bar @ Cole’s (Los Angeles - Downtown)

My review is only for the Red Car Bar inside of Cole's as I have yet to sample the sandwiches.  This was my 2nd stop of 3 bars in the area on a Friday night.  It was my least favorite.  It's not so much that this place was bad either.  The Association and The Varnish were just better.

The drinks I tried were the "SAZERAC" and "MARTINEZ."  BOTH PACKED A PUNCH but I think I preferred the Martinez. Their cocktail menu consists of 10 or so cocktails and they have an okay beer selection on tap (Guinness, Anchor Steam, Franziskaner, etc.)

I'll be sure to return and try the aromatic garlic fries, "legendary" sandwiches and more cocktails in the coming weeks and I will adjust my rating accordingly (if need be).  ...Til then, 4 stars!

Sazerac (left) – Pikesville Rye, Peychaud Bitters, Sugar Cube, Luxardo Cherry & Lemon Twist.  Martinez (right) – Beefeater Gin, Sweet Vermouth, Orange Bitters & Orange Twist.
