Komodo (Los Angeles)

Wow!  $3 for tacos somewhere in size between an amuse-bouche and an Hors d'œuvre! Okay okay, maybe not that small, but you get the picture.

I hope once the novelty of all these noveau gourmet food trucks starts to fade and business starts to decline, prices will begin to fall back down to earth.  Maybe more food trucks need to SHUTTER to get the point across.

I wouldn't mind checking out more items from their menu because I really enjoyed the flavor of 2 out of the 4 items i tried...but at their prices, I'll have to pass.

I went with the Killer Combo - 4 tacos for $10 *(at $2.50 per taco, still not cheap enough).  The tacos I liked were the Komodo 2.0 and Fish n' Grape.  The sauce was flavorful on the Komodo and the corn salad was a nice touch.  The Fish Taco was almost as good as their namesake taco.  The grape salad topping worked with the fish and I didn't even miss the lemon juice I usually squeeze on my fish tacos.

The tacos I didn't care for were the Blazin' Shrimp and Java.  These were just "okay" and nothing I'd want to order again.  If you are going to spend the $3 per taco, I'd go with the Komodo or Fish n Grape.
