Vinoteque on Melrose (Los Angeles - Mid-City West)

StarStarStar½

This way to Vinoteque.  The entryway is slightly wider than that of Far Bar's.  Unless you're walking by, you might just miss this place.

They have a really great patio - this is where you want to eat.  Even on a cold night, the heat lamps will more than suffice to keep you nice and toasty.  They were showing a black and white flick when we dined here.  No sound, just video.  But on certain nights, they have an actual movie night and trivia night.  Check their website to get the 411 if you're interested.

Hangar 24's Orange Wheat.

I know this is a wine bar but this list needs some serious upgrading.

 Lily's Pad Pinot Noir.

She just had to go with the Frog (wink wink).

Four Cheese Tortellini - Mascarpone, Ricotta Salata, Parmesan, Stilton & Saba.

We always have to get Sweet Potato Fries.  This one came with Spicy Ketchup.  It tasted like ketchup mixed with Sriracha.

I liked my own sauce combination better.  Toretellini Cheese Filling meets Sweet Potato Fries.

Scottish Salmon, Roasted Cauliflower Puree,  Curried Cauliflower, Golden Raisins & Basil.  This was my favorite dish of the night.  The cauliflower puree and addition of the raisins did it for me.

Bay Scallop Risotto Drizzled with Truffle Oil.  This was my least favorite dish and the only one I wouldn't order again.

Dessert portion of the menu.  I wanted to try the single scoop of ice cream with Guinness but instead we went with the...

...Churros & Coffee.  The Churros stuffed with Blackberry Jam were okay but the coffee ice-cream was really good.

Another view of the patio.
