The Grilled Cheese Truck (Los Angeles)

The Grilled Cheese Truck and the shortest line of people I have seen at one of their stops.

I like the fact that these guys have a to-go container for the food but if you can, eat it there or use the regular plate to take the food home.  The insulated bag ruins the crisp texture of the sandwich bread with all of the steam that gets trapped in there.

Luckily for us, we didn't have to travel far before we opened up our sacks.  We grabbed 2 sandwiches.  Our favorite was their "fully loaded," complete with pulled pork & mac 'n cheese filling.

The Regular Menu.  Not much has changed since they opened for business, but they do feature sandwich specials that change every once in awhile.

We also picked up a side of tater tots.  The spuds came with no sauce.  I guess you have to ask for a sauce [and pay extra for it too]?  Not even a simple ketchup came with it.  Bummer.  One of the sauces you can ask for is a spicy ghost pepper based one.  I was tempted, but then I thought better of it.

The other sandwich we ordered was the papas con chorizo.  It was okay but I could have used some extra heat on this one and maybe some sort of crema.

Another look at the truck.
