Pacific Cheesecake Company (Glendale)

StarStar½

Box of goodies [and clunkers, unfortunately].

Pt. 1 of the sweet cheesecakes they make.

Pt. 2 of their sweet variety.  Click on the image for a larger picture.

Pt. 3 of their sweet cheesecakes.  Not all are available at any one time.

The best cheesecake I tried was, by far, the Carrot cheesecake.  I would order this each and every single time I went - if I went again that is.

My 2nd favorite was the Espresso.  It had great balance between sweet and bitter.

The Mango Coconut cheesecake was good but not nearly as good as the previous cupcakes.

The same can be said of the Dulce de Leche cheesecake.  I thought I would love this one the most.  As it turns out, it was just okay and kind of a let down.

Sweet Lime wasn't as tart as I would have liked.  Then again, I should have known better.  It was sweet lime after all. Duh!

Lemon Basil also didn't deliver for me.  The flavors were not as pronounced as I would have liked.

One of the main reasons why I wanted to check this place out was because they had savory cakes - specifically, cheesecakes with blue cheese and pancetta.

Unfortunately (or fortunately) for me, they only had 2 savory options available the day I went.  Neither of them were the ones I had hoped to get.  I got a Sun Dried Tomato Basil one rolled in Pistachios.  It was too salty and just not very good.  I had to force myself to finish it.

Even worse was the Spinach Feta cheesecake.  At this point, I didn't even try to finish it.  Oh well - money lost.  Very few times have I tried something that I have considered to be inedible.  These 2 things are amongst that handful of things that I have tried to eat, that I just didn't like at all.

The rest of the menu.
