SHOREbar (Santa Monica)

Another craft cocktail bar opened a couple of weeks ago in Santa Monica.  As soon as I found out that the person behind the bar program is Copa's Vincenzo Marianella, SHOREbar leapfrogged other debuting restaurants/bars on my to-do/to-go list.

Mezcal is always in order when we go drinking.  The Antidote was the answer to that.

I wanted to check out the 2nd floor but "it wasn't ready yet."  



But even when it is ready, how available can it be when it costs $1,000/year to become a member?  One of the perks is that you can have food from the neighborhood delivered to you and your party.  I'll pass (like I have the option).  

And speaking of passing, while our cocktail waitress, Amy, was a delight to talk to and the drinks were good, I doubt I'll return.  Parking is the number 1 deterrent for me whenever I go somewhere.  It's wretched here.  Valet was 6 or 7 dollars.  And considering the immediate area has no other attraction for me, I cannot say I'll be returning.  I wish the bar well but my gut feeling tells me that it just wont last.  For their sake, I hope I'm wrong but I think the location of this place will be it's ultimate demise.
