Tony's Saloon (Los Angeles - Downtown)

StarStarStarStar

Signage.

Hey!  What happened to the doorman??  Never mind.  I don't think I want to know.

When we arrived, they had just opened so we saddled up at the bar.

This year's Halloween theme was a "Haunted Truck Stop."  I liked last year's
Dexter theme better.  Last year definitely had more of a wow factor.  The theme this time wasn't apparent at all.

Our slices of pizza from Pizzanista! had just been slid through the little opening between the two businesses so we were ready to order some Halloween inspired drinks.

Well God damn, evidently their "Irish Cream Trucker Coffee" was only available  on Saturday the 27th of October and not on the holiday itself.  Well that sucked.  This was one of the main reasons we wanted to hit up the bars around town after all.  We were hoping to drink on the cheap.  Oh well, we were already there.  Might as well make the most of it, right?  Besides, we were there early enough to enjoy Happy Hour so our drinks were a couple of bucks off.

I got the Czech Yourself made with Becherovka herbal bitters.  I first tried this on its own at a cocktail function and found it very interesting .  It's strongly flavored and it reeks of fall - in a good way, that is (cinnamon, nutmeg, anise).  The cocktail, on the other hand, was good but a little light for me.  But that's okay, I was eating pizza afterall.

On the flip-side of the coin, Jessie is like the honey badger.  He just doesn't give a fuu... Pairing schmearing.  He ordered the Mae East and gave his approving yet disgustingly perverted smile. Oh Jessie.  SMH hahaha
